PADLOCKS

The different models in the THIRARD range offer padlocks with brass or stainless steel bodies so as to enhance their resistance to the external environment. There also remain some models designed for indoor use.

The different manufacture finishes provide an operation that takes peripheral constraints into account.

The materials used for the handle provides security against vandalism. On some models the latter will be coated or equipped with a shouldered protective handle which will be protected by a PVC ring. If the hardened steel protects against sawing and drilling, brass or stainless steel are recommended for protection against corrosion by oxidation. Steel hardened by molybdenum has a high resistance against cutting and sawing. Stainless steel meanwhile is specially designed to withstand saline.

THIRARD also offers various accessories that reinforce the door’s fittings.

NIGHT LATCHES

Night latches are typically used to enhance the security of a door. They can complement the lock and enhance the door panel’s hold on the frame. Except for the multipoint night latch, the night latch has no "hand" and can therefore be placed on the right or left of the door.

Thethickness of the door determines the length of the cylinder and therefore the night latch choice: 40mm, 45mm (standard), 50mm...

THIRARD offers a full range of night latches with cylinder lengths varying from 30 to 60mm. Other sizes can be manufactured on request.

The placement of a reinforcing plate fixed on the outer side of the door with 4 screws through the latch and a square strike, considerably strengthens the entire installation.

CYLINDER

The cylinder is an essential component in the lock’s operation. It can be integrated in different models: 1 point lock, Trimax 3-point lock, CP Security night latch, or even a mounted or mortise ignition switch.

The cylinder type is paramount with regard to the degree of security desired. Indeed, it is only the association of the cylinder and lock components which garners obtaining a label by insurance organizations.

Today, the European-type cylinder is the most used in France, for reasons of fast interchangeability, and therefore economic advantages, in terms of manpower and immediate on-site operation in case of loss or theft of keys.

By changing the cylinder, security is assured.

Choice of the cylinder through the choice of the key. Its appearance and method of reproduction, whether for an open ended spanner, reversible latch, or pump.

CAM LOCKS

THIRARD also offers various types of cam locks and contactors compatible with the range of European cylinders, as well as a PTT approved range for mailboxes.

MORTISE LOCKS

40mm Axis, 50mm Axis, Trimax Multipoint ... THIRARD offers a full range of mortise locks. Some models are CE, NFqc, NF and A2P approved.

Mortise locks are installed in the thickness of the door and are invisible. They do not interfere with decorative choice since it is possible to adapt these to all the varieties of handles and plates according to the taste of the user.

MOUNTED LOCK

Vertical, Horizontal, single-point or multipoint, THIRARD offers a wide range of mounted locks for entry doors, cellar doors, interior doors, but also for garages, gates, and doorways.

The mounted security lock is the oldest and easiest to install. It is often used on old doors in renovations since there are models that respect all styles.

The degree of security for the locks varies with the sophistication of their operating mechanism and according to the desired function.

HANDLES

In terms of door hardware, THIRARD also has a varied range of door fittings. Designed for all types of doors with mortise locks, in a chrome, aluminium, lacquer, brass, porcelain, PVC, and steel finishes , and available in various models.
