The feeling of insecurity of French citizens progresses day by day and follows the increase in assaults, robberies, and burglaries. Their interest in security in all its forms should therefore follow the constant increase in burglaries.

Indeed, over half of French people are anxious about leaving their homes during the holidays, and a quarter have already been victims of burglary. Each individual should therefore provide an effective solution to protect his home (front door, cellar, garage, outbuildings...), realising that:

- 50% of burglars gain access through the door
- 25% through windows, i.e. 75% through the openings of the house or apartment.

Yet many French people recognise that they have not properly secured their homes, often because of lack of information in the security field, and also due to negligence.

Studies show that in most cases of attempted burglary, burglars try to gain access for no more than three minutes when the closure system presents great resistance.

Hence the objective should be to do everything to deter burglary and delay the wrongdoer’s action by multiplying resistance points (i.e. one lock + two night latches or one multipoint lock).
